Compatibility between people is possible no matter what the name through understanding. Certainly names can draw from similar qualities of intelligence and are more relative. For example, an inspirational and often misunderstood name like Victoria can suffer misunderstanding when married to an intensely practical and self-centered name like David. This understanding of names and their intrinsic nature is taught in more detail in the Life Analysis Training.
But for marriage, we consider the basic measurement of the Group to determine relative compatibilities. The Group - based upon the day of birth - determines your basic approach to life; whether practical, inspirational or people-oriented.
The Group measurement is calculated by reducing the date of birth to a single digit. For instance, the 15th reduces to 1+5=6. There are 3 Groups; Water (birthdates reducing to 1,5,7), Fire (birthdates reducing to 2,4,8) and Air (birthdates reducing to 3,6,9).
The Water Group has an independent, practical perspective, having the lesson of becoming a leader through their own original thinking. The Fire Group is people oriented, learning through the fire of experience and having the lesson of understanding others. The Air Group is inspirational and has a love of people. Their lesson is to lift the tenor of humanity through the constructive use of the power of the word.
Each group is most compatible within their own group. Water with Water, Fire with Fire, and Air with Air. But the Fire can merge with either Air or Water. Generally the Water and Air have different approaches, so it takes more patience and understanding to create long-term harmony. But it is do-able, and not a reasonable excuse for a divorce!
In regards to your choice of a name for a child, I would implore you not to choose a name based upon a very brief analysis on the Philosophy website! You are creating your child's mental future without taking into consideration the family name and the overall total influence of the names together. Even a moderately balanced name combined with the wrong surname can create an unfortunate destiny.
Choosing a name based upon how it sounds or feels is like walking up to a keyboard and randomly hitting chords with the hope of creating a harmonious chord. It is often years before you see the full affect of the unbalanced name...and it will be shame to burden your child with the tensions of an unbalanced name.
You are advised to get a balanced name for your child. Anything less will equate to some degree of mental turmoil or tension in your child's life. I cannot overstate how important this is to your child's future. Look into it!
