Ideals

Ideals are like the power within the seed, a potential power of Reason ready to express the intelligence of that power in action and in form. If there is no power in the seed, there is no growth. If one does not have a universal ideal within one's concept, there is no spiritual growth. The clearer one develops his or her ideals, the stronger the power becomes to unfold into conscious development.

Mr. Parker wrote that one should attach an ideal to every action and to the purpose for each day. Unless our thoughts contain a seed of universal purpose or the ideal of unfolding the constructive development of the mind, the thought from a universal point of view are wasted, the day is wasted, and the opportunity of the moment lost forever. There is such finality to time. It expresses only once in a lifetime, and if unused in constructive unfoldment of the spark, it is past, unrecallable, and wasted as a potential step of life!
