Vacillations

Vacillations
There is a problem we often face: and that is the vacillations of our natures. Sometimes you meet someone who is all smiles and who is happy and just your very best friend. You can turn around and maybe just five minutes later or a week later, the warm friendship is all gone.

The changeability of natures often is the result of the lack of individuality, which means that your mind is not your own. If you are a friend today and warm and giving today, what would cause you to change? Are you a different person? Same mathematics, same individual.

If you ever want to become a power of Universal Intelligence, you must be stable in your expression. You cannot be a friend today and foe tomorrow as far as the power of giving is concerned, the power of friendship is concerned, or any quality of a positive nature.

When you are so changeable in your nature, you do not have a good foothold on the Principle; and you can lose it just as easily as you change from one nature to another nature, because if you are so easily affected, then you do not have the solidarity of the Principle in your concept.

You have to be so clear in your mind that nothing shakes your concept of the Principle and your attitude towards life and your relationship to people.

True, you have to deal with life as you find it, and yet you must always be yourself as a true individual expression of Universal Intelligence. You must always be clear in your mind that what you are thinking is what you want to think, and is what you are proud to be thinking, as being a living proof of that universal quality of love.

Now, if you are hating or despising someone, whatever it might be, are you one with that universal power of intelligence that is the essence of love and understanding? For one reason or another you may not be able to communicate as well as you would like with someone and there may be a degree of sensitivity or awkwardness--you want to but maybe you just cannot find anything to talk about--that is part of life; it just represents a challenge that has to be met; but that does not mean you have to cut them off or find fault with them because they do not give you or you cannot give to them for one reason or another.

It is that continued patience, accepting what you cannot change immediately, with the philosophical viewpoint that time will allow change and growth and that you must work with time to produce it.

To be giving is to give expression to the Principle, which means individuality in expression: always to be happy, always to be balanced and constructive, always to strive to see the good in others and not to be swayed from the path by just a down feeling, by some little incident that maybe you did not approve of or understand. Let us have a broader vision, see the bigger picture of life. Try to keep that objective perspective.
