The Power of a Name

Your name represents the music of your life. Just as there is awesome energy in sound when channelled through instruments to produce a stirring symphony, there is tremendous energy in language when channelled through name that produces all myriad expressions of human intelligence, of creativity resulting in inventions, scientific progress, artistic achievements, and unfortunately, human frailties and degradation.

The language you use allows you to think, to analyze, to deduce, and to make comparison. It gives meaning to your every thought, every act, and even to life itself. Creative energies are set in motion through the use of language that can lead you to the highest or to the lowest depending upon your environments, upbringing, your choices and decisions, and even your strengths to rise above circumstances to become a successful person. Language is your lifeline to success.

How can we measure languages? In the case of languages which have alphabets, letters are placed in a definite sequence, i.e., in the English alphabet, "A" is always in the first position, "B" in the second position, and so on. Any alphabet is an alphabet because symbols are recognized by their form or sound in a definite order--change the order and confusion results. The arrangement of letters in a consistent way makes it measurable.

The link between your mind, language, and the consistent order of the letters in the alphabet is the key to measuring human mind through the name. Each letter is a symbol for intelligence. Its position in the alphabet gives each letter its quality of intelligence. When the letters are combined in a name, powerful forces are set in motion that will create your personality—your strengths and weaknesses and the conditions in your life.

In considering the influence of your name, what is important is the power of intelligence which expresses through the alphabetical symbols comprising the name. Similar to the gradations in sound energies in the scale of music, there is a scale of conscious energy known as qualities of intelligence, which express as invisible energies known as mental power.

A child at birth has no mind; the mind is created when the child is named and when specific conscious energies coordinated and given expression by the symbols in the name, stimulate the brain cells to respond accordingly--and thus a mental pattern develops. This pattern is recognized as the personality and reflects the qualities of intelligence expressed by the name.

Children learn to associate their names with themselves and identify themselves by name. Thus we are our names. One cannot brush the point aside with, "A name is not important." Answer this: Who are you? How can you identify yourself as a mental power without using your name? If you had no name who would you be? Is your name not important to you? Intelligence, as a universal power, is expressed consciously only through language, and your name gives you your individual intelligent expression.

It is a known fact that when the mind expresses discordant characteristics, the body reflects them as illness. Medical science admits mental attitude strongly affects the health of the body; for instance, hypertension can cause ulcers, headaches, etc. The questions are: What causes the hypertension in the first place? Why does it affect different people in different ways? A study of the Kabalarian Philosophy will reveal the answers to these questions.

To understand the spiritual law governing conscious expression is to appreciate the power of intelligence expressing through a name. For those who seek mental clarity, peace of mind, and a balanced, happy life, which is a reflection of a balanced mind, the answer is to look further into the Kabalarian Principle. Thus, the answer to the question, "What's in a name?" is, "Everything". The answer to the question, "What's in your name?" is, "You".

When this principle of name is understood, a name can be altered or changed to a balanced name which when used will allow the inner potential to fully develop and express.
